Introduction: The cost of worms for fishing bait can be quite expensive, but it can be avoided if you start a worm farm for fishing bait.

Step 1: Take a wooden box about 3 feet by 2 feet by 1 foot deep to use as a worm farm for fishing bait. The wood should not be painted, stained or treated, as this may kill the worms.

Step 2: Drill holes in the box bottom about 6 inches apart and place a screen on the box bottom to prevent worms from escaping your worm farm for fishing bait.

Step 3: Place a few inches of shredded newspaper on the bottom of your worm farm for fishing bait and cover it with good dirt that contains no fertilizer or pesticides.Wet the dirt and let the worm farm for fishing bait sit for a few days before adding your worms.

Step 4: You can now add worms for fishing bait to your worm farm - use only healthy worms as sickly ones can kill the entire colony.

Step 5: Feed your worm farm for fishing bait every other day, about a third of a cup of vegetable matter and a few squirts of water on top of the dirt.

Tips: Don't over-water your worm farm for fishing bait.

Warnings: If you notice any worms that not look healthy remove them immediately!
