How to Cruise Carnival |

Tags: Carnival Cruise lines is one of the largest cruise companies in the world. With ports in Alabama, Texas, Florida and California, finding a Carnival cruise to go on is simple. The “Fun Ship”, as Carnival calls its ships, offers cruises lasting from 2+ days to many different locations. Most cruises stop off at ports of call to visit, such as Key West, Florida, the Bahamas or Mexico. Here’s how to cruise on Carnival Cruiselines. Determine what time of year you wish to cruise. Off season times are usually the cheapest and least crowded, such as early fall. You can also sometimes catch last minute cruise deals. Carnival does not want to sail with any empty cabins, so prices are sometimes lowered to fill the ship up immediately before the sailing date. Start by looking at the Carnival Cruises website to decide which ship, port and itinerary you are interested in. The website lists all ships under the Carnival name and usually posts last minute deals on its homepage. Select the itinerary, ship and cruise date you want to cruise on. Once you begin booking, select your cabin level (interior with no window, oceanside, or a balcony), the number of people you want in your cabin (up to 5) and your dining time (6:00 or 8:00 pm). Make sure to consider that there are taxes associated with booking a cruise, usually a few hundred dollars more than the initial booking cost that will be tacked onto your total. Book your flight or plan transportation to the port you will be embarking from. Remember you will need to arrive at least 2.5 hours before the ship departs and will need time to get from the airport to the port. The cruise line offers a shuttle service that you can purchase beforehand, or consider hiring a taxi to take you to the port. Enjoy your trip on Carnival!
