1. The begin a skin regimen, purchase a small jar of vaseline at your local retail store. A jar of vaseline is relatively cheap costing about three dollars a jar. 2. Make sure hands are clean with soap and water. You will also need a pair of gloves or medical gloves. 3. Open the jar of vaseline and apply all over hands making sure to rub the substance completely into the skin. Apply gloves after vaseline application. Allow the vaseline to stay on your hands for a long period. The perfect time to apply the vaseline and gloves is around bedtime. 4. Remove the gloves and reapply if desired or until hands are no longer chapped. Viola a perfect lotion at a cheap price. Tips: If hands remain chapped or cracked further attention may need to applied. Contact a family doctor or physician for additional advice. A prescription lotion may need to be prescribed.
