Step 1: Choose your dried herbs. You will need several handfuls of dried herbs; i.e., enough to fill the number of drawer liners you intend to make. Usually 2 handfuls will fill one drawer liner. Choose one or any combination of the following moth-repellent herbs: cotten lavender, lavender, feverfew, rosemary, sweet woodruff, tansy, patchouli, and wormwood. Step 2: Put 2 pieces of unryushi paper together, making sure the edges are lined-up evenly. Unryushi paper is a Japanese paper that is porous and can be purchased at any specialty paper store. Step 3: Cut the paper slightly smaller than the size of the drawer. Actually you can make the paper any size you want, as long as it fits in the drawer. Step 4: Stitch together 3 sides of the paper to make a pouch. Step 5: Fill the pouch loosely with the dried herbs. Step 6: Sew the fourth side closed and gently flattened the herbal drawer liner. Tips: •These drawer liners can also be inserted between clothes for extra fragrance. •If you cannot sew at all, purchase muslin bags with drawstrings to use instead. These can be found at your local arts and crafts store. Warnings: •You want to make sure that you sew the sides of the unryushi paper together well enough so the dried herbs do not leak out into the drawer and onto your clothes.

In addition, by choosing specific herbs, you can repel such insects as moths. Another plus to making these particular drawer liners is that you do not need to be an expert with a needle and thread.
