How to troubleshoot a computer when it freezes up |

There is nothing more frustrating than being on your computer searching the web or taking care of important business and all of a sudden your computer freezes. Our instincts tell us there is something wrong with our computer. There are a few actions that will cause your computer or a specific program to freeze. It's not necessarily a bad thing. If you have tons of saved documents and deleted documents on your computer this could be the problem. When you turn your computer on it has to sort through all of these things before it starts a new task. Or it could that you have several programs running at one time which causes your system to become bombarded with task to perform. Here are a few tips to try if and when this happens to you. Be Patient and give it a minute because the freeze may be temporary because it may be that your computer is attempting to open or run several programs at one time. If you are still experiencing problems with freezing , you are going to push control, alt, delete at he same time. This will open the Windows task manager. Now you are going to click on the applications tab when the task manager opens. The task manager will indicate that a program is not responding. Click on the name of the program and then click the button that shows end task. Â If you are still experiencing problems then you need to press and hold your power button for about 45 seconds. This will shut down your computer so that you are able to restart it. Now you are going to restart your computer. This should solve your problem because now the task that froze your computer is now closed. Â Â
