We all know how irritating it can be to have to toss our favorite article of clothing just because of a little stain. Here are a few tips to save you money and frustration when it comes to stain removal. Coffee or tea-Simply saturate the area witha mixture of one part white vinegar and one part cold water. Let it sit for 30 minutes then rinse with cold water. Wash as usual. Chocolate-First scrape off any residue then apply a little hydrogen peroxide to the area. Use a toothbrush to scrub gently and rinse with cold water. Wash as usual. Milk or ice cream-First rinse with cold water then cover the area with meat tenderizer. Let it sit for 30 minutes and rinse with cold water. Wash as usual. Lipstick-Using a bar of wet white bath soap rub it into the fabric. Let sit for 30 minutes then rinse with cold water. Wash as usual. Red wind-Using a clean, white cloth dipped in white wine dab at the spot. Rinse with cold water and repeat until the stain disappears. Wash as usual. Tomato-Rinse with cold water then sponge on lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes and rinse again. Wash as usual. Gravy-Sprinkle the area with cornstarch and let it sit for 1-3 hours. Discard the powder and rinse the area with hot water. Wash as usual. Soda-Rinse with cold water then combine one tablespoon of amonia with one cup of water. Dab at the stain with a clean cloth dipped in the mixture until it dissolves completely. Wash as usual.
