How to activate your Windows firewall protection

There is built in firewall included in both Windows XP and Vista. The firewall provides basic firewall protection . This is the greatest because you don't have to install any programs you just have to open the firewall program already in your computer system. A dedicated firewall router is better because it provides better security than the built-in Windows firewall does. The built in firewall still provides protection for home networks and small office networks.
Here are some easy steps to follow to activate the built-in firewall:

Go to start
Choose control panel
The control panel program should appear on your screen

Click on the icon for your Windows Firewall
This step will open the dialog box for your Windows Firewall.
Now you should have Windows Firewall program on your screen.

It's (Recommended)to select the OK option
By choosing this option this will enable the firewall.

Click the OK option
