corn on the cob

Corn on the cob is not only delicious but also healthy! Eating corn can get you feeling better and can get you looking better too! So next time you don't know what to eat for lunch, grab an ear of corn!

Step 1:  HEAL THOSE JOINTS -- The carotenoid beta-cryptoxanthin in corn reduces join pain by easing swelling in the connective tissues that line joint cavities.

Step 2:  GET SMART -- Cooked kernels are a good source of ferulic acid which can improve the brain's ability to retain and organize memories. Corn also delivers thiamine which helps optimize brain signals to improve cognitive function.

Step 3:  RELIEVE STRESS -- Anxiety doesn't stand a chance against corn! Corn contains pantothenic acid, a B vitamin necessary for the production of a hormone glucocorticoid which speed the deliver of oxygen to stress-combating epicenters in the heart and brain. Corn also Lysine which helps block anxiety inducing stimuli.

Step 4:  GET GLOSSY HAIR -- Corn is rich in biotin, a vitamin that stimulates the body's production of keratin. Keratin is a major component in hair and it prevents breakage and enhances luster. Corn also fights dandruff by revving the body's output of serotonin.
