How to Make Baking Soda Rinse For Hair

hair care

One of the main culprits that damages our hair and dulls the color is water. Water from the tap can be too hard and even the pressure of the water hitting your head can fade the color and can also cause your hair to be less shiny. But you can soften the water and relieve the water pressure damage by making your own baking soda rinse.

Things You'll Need:
baking soda
a gallon container
water

Step 1:  GET A JUG -- Get a gallon container and fill it with water. An empty gallon size milk just is good because you can put the cap back on and not worry about spilling the contents. But any gallon size pitcher will do.

Step 2:  MAKE THE BAKING SODA RINSE -- Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the container and mix. If you used a milk jug it has a small opening so you may want to mix the 1/2 cup of baking soda in a glass of water first then pour this mixture into the milk jug using a funnel. Then just put the cap on and shake. If you used a pitcher just add the baking soda and stir until dissolved.

Step 3:  RINSE YOUR HAIR -- While in the shower wet your hair with the water and baking soda mixture. Then shampoo as normal. Rinse the shampoo with the water and baking soda mixture. Then condition as normal. Then do your final rinse with the water and baking soda mixture. If you have long or thick hair you may need to make two gallons. Your hair will be softer, will have more shine and if you color your hair the color will last much longer. This is a cheap way to prolong your hair color and an easy way to get shiny hair. So use this baking soda rinse to save money and have beautiful hair!
