How to Join Files in Windows System

When you download some files from file hosting services such as hotfile.com, you have to join the splitting files into a single file then unzip or unrar it. Because this kind of file hosting services does not allow file size larger than for example 200MB, you need to download them individually and join them.

Unfortunately Windows system does not come with any built-in file joiner programs, but there are some free ones outside the internet. I am introducing this neat little file joiner program call Hjsplit which is also free to download. This file split program is super light less than 1MB, and it does not required to install, just a single file portable to carry in USB drive too.

Step 1:
Download Hjsplit from here: http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/Ā  save to your desktop or anywhere you like to.

Step 2:
Double click to run, you will see the main menu with six buttons, click the "Join" button to join files.

Step3:
The next window comes up, click on the left "Input File" to browse the file you want to join the files. The Output box will automatically filled with the same path as the original file and the file names will be saved in .001, 002, .003 sequences. The program will automatically pick the first file normally starts with .001 extension.

Step 4:

Hit the "Start" button to start the file joining process.
