How to Heal a Cracked Lip with Super Glue

A cracked lip is one of the toughest things to cure because you are constantly moving your mouth and you keep opening up the sore. But healing a cracked lip can be done... with super glue! It can take a couple days but that's much better than the weeks it can normally take to heal on it's own. This is a good method to use if you must get rid of the crack for a special occasion like a wedding or prom or for any photo opportunity! You may want to ask your doctor first. My doctor approved!

Step 1:  DRY THE CRACK -- Dry the crack in your lip by wiping it with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. This will sting but it's necessary to clean the area and to dry it so the super glue will stick.

Step 2:  APPLY SUPER GLUE -- Apply a drop of super glue to the cracked lip and quickly squeeze the crack shut and hold for a few seconds. The crack will stay closed and it will instantly feel better because the air will no longer get at the open sore.

Step 3:  KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT -- Try not to smile or move your mouth much when you eat. If you must drink, use a straw. It's important that you keep the cracked lip closed.

Step 4:  KEEP APPLYING THE GLUE -- No matter how dry you keep your lips or how little you try to move them, the glue will eventually come off your lip because of the natural moisture your lips create. When the glue comes off just repeat all the steps again and keep repeating them until the crack is gone.

You can close up small cuts with super glue, too.
