Tags: This article is about how to make a good bottle of cherry wine, which is a good compliment to desserts and a romantic evening with the significant other on a cold night. First you are going to need these ingredients. 1 quart of fresh cherries 2 cups of sugar 1 package of yeast 1 gallon of water Colander or cheesecloth Jug or large container Steps: 1)Remove the stems and seeds from the cherries. In a large bowl, carefully crush the cherries to release the juices 2)Dissolve the sugar in 1 cup of hot water, stirring to combine. Let the mixture cool to room temperature 3)Mix the yeast in 2 cups of warm water. It may foam a little; that's okay. Let this cool as well. 4)Combine the cooled sugar mixture with the crushed fruit and stir well. 5)Add the yeast to the sugar and fruit mixture and blend together 6)Fill your jug with the fruit mixture and add remaining water until the container is full. Put the cap on your jug and store the wine in a cool, dark place. Ensure it cannot be reached by direct sunlight. 7)Let your wine ferment for 2 to 3 weeks. After this time, strain your wine through a colander or cheesecloth to remove any chunks of fruit and store it in a bottle or container for enjoyment. Â
