This article will teach you steps you can take to do less laundry. Not only will doing less laundry save you money, but also time! And washing your clothing less will keep them wearable longer. It's a win win situation!

Step 1:  HANG UP THOSE TOWELS -- One of the quickest ways to fill up the hamper is to stuff it with perfectly clean towels. Give everyone in the family one towel and make them use it for at least three showers or baths before they put it in the hamper.

Just make sure they hand their towel up to dry after each use. If there is not enough room in the bathroom to hang all the towels put a towel bar on the inside of their closet door!

Step 2:  HANG UP YOUR CLOTHES -- Put a door hook on each closet door.

When something has been worn but is not dirty, put it on a hanger and hang it on the hook... wear that clothing again!  There is no need to wash a pair of jeans after each time you wear them. The same goes for shirts, dresses, skits, etc.

Step 3:  SPOT CLEAN THE STAINS -- If you happen to get a stain on something that is otherwise clean, just clean the spot!

Don't toss something in the hamper for one silly stain. Spot clean it and hang it back up! See my article for how to make your own oxi clean type stain remover in the resource section of this article... another great way to save money!
