How to Make Meatloaf With No Recipe
Meatloaf is one of the easiest meals to prepare. As long as you have ground meat in the refrigerator you can make a meatloaf. You do not need a bunch of ingredients. The following steps will teach you how to make meatloaf with ground meat and whatever other ingredients you already have. Step 1: GET STARTED -- Take whatever ground meat you have and take let it sit at room temperature just for a bit so your hands won't freeze when you mix the ingredients with the meat. You can use ground beef, ground pork, ground chicken, ground turkey, and even ground sausage. You can also mix different ground meat together. Step 2: GATHER YOUR INGREDIENTS -- Whatever you add to your meatloaf is up to you! You really can't go wrong so don't be afraid to experiment. It's good to always add an egg or two and you should always add a couple slices of bread or some bread crumbs or even crushed crackers. Other things you might want to add: chopped onion, chopped peppers, diced tomatoes, diced celery, etc. Step 3: PUT IT IN A BOWL -- Put your ground meat in a big bowl. Crumble up a couple slices of bread (great way to use up the crust end pieces) or add a bit of bread crumbs or crushed crackers. Don't worry about how much to add. Just add some! Also add one or two eggs (you decide!). Then add whatever chopped or diced veggies you want. Step 4: ADD SEASONINGS -- You also want to add some seasonings. You can add salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, oregano, or whatever you like. You can (and should) also add any type of sauce or condiment you have in the refrigerator. You can add catsup, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salsa... again, you decide and add as much or as little as you want. You can also add more than one! Step 5: GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY -- First, before you get your hands dirty, wash your hands! Wash them well and take off any rings. Then mix your meatloaf with your hands. If it feels too wet or soft add more bread. If it feels too dry add more catsup or another egg. There is no right or wrong way to make meatloaf so don't worry! Step 6: COOK IT -- Grab a cookie sheet (or any baking pan or caserole dish). You can cover the cookie sheet with foil for easier clean up. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Plop the meat mixture on the cookie sheet and make a loaf shape. Try to make it no more than 3 or 4 inches high. Then bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Then eat and enjoy!
