How to Make Butter Flavored Spray Like Pam

If you use butter flavored cooking spray like Pam here is a great way to save money by making your own! Use your homemade butter spray for cooking or to add flavor to vegetables or to flavor a nice big bowl of hot air popcorn... all that flavor for very little calories!

Step 1:  BUY OIL -- Buy either canola oil or a very light flavored extra virgin olive oil. If you prefer to save a bit of money vegetable oil will do just fine too.

Step 2:  BUY BUTTER EXTRACT -- Pick up a bottle of butter flavored extract. You can find extract in the aisle with the spices or near the cake mixes.

Step 3:  BUY A SMALL SPRAY BOTTLE -- Look in the cosmetic department for a small spray bottle. They have spray bottles in the laundry section but they are big. But maybe you want a lot of butter spray!

Step 4:  MIX IT UP -- Fill your spray bottle with the cooking oil of your choice then add one or two teaspoons of butter extract. Now just spray your frying pans or flavor your food as necessary! Store in the refrigerator. Shake a bit before each use to mix in the butter flavor.
