How to Cook Filipino Humba

This recipe will tell you how to cook Filipino humba using a recipe straight out of Mindanao Philippines.

Things You Will Need:

1 lb. pork loin with skin,(cut out fat from skin)
6 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup vinegar
enough water to cover
1 can salted bean curd
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. peppercorn, crushed
2 bay leaves

Directions:
 
Step 1:  Mix all the above ingredients in a deep pot.

Step 2:  Marinate for an hour.  

Step 3:  Bring to a boil, then lower heat.

Step 4:  Simmer for about an hour or more or till pork is very tender.

Step 5:  Stir occasionally while it's simmering so meat doesn't stick to the pot.  

Step 6:   Serve Hot.
