How to Lose Weight Drinking Broth
Sometimes people make losing weight too complicated. Losing weight is really quite easy, as long as you have a plan! One way to lose weight is to curb your appetite by drinking broth. Not only is broth tasty, but it's also cheap. So you can save money while you lose weight!
Step 1:Â STOCK UP ON BROTH -- Run to the store and buy cans of broth. There are many varieties so buy several brands and try them all! Or save money by picking the broth with the lowest unit price. The big containers of broth usually cost more per quart, so be sure you check the unit price! Also, try picking broth that is low fat or fat free and that has reduced sodium.
Step 2:Â DRINK BROTH BEFORE YOUR MEAL -- A great way to lose weight is to fill up a bit before you eat. Then you are more likely to eat less! Heat up a cup of broth and sip on it while you are making your lunch or dinner. If your lunch or dinner are already prepared, drink your broth about 15 minutes before you eat.
Step 3:Â DRINK BROTH DURING YOUR MEAL -- Drinking a hot or warm beverage while eating also makes you feel full and satisfied faster. And the quicker you feel full, the less food you will eat and you will lose weight! So skip the soda and drink broth during your meal. Bring a thermos of hot broth to work to drink during your lunch break.
Step 4:Â DRINK BROTH AS A SNACK -- If you get hungry between meals, heat up a cup of broth! If just broth is not enough, cut some bread into cubes and take bites of bread (try a good whole grain bread) between sips. You can also have a few pieces of cheese and some crackers. You can even add some frozen vegetables or canned vegetables to your broth and turn it into soup!
Step 5:Â DRINK BROTH IN THE EVENING -- Instead of popping open a can of soda or a beer while watching TV, sip on some broth. It is soothing and relaxing and will calm you. And by decreasing your anxiety, your appetite or nervous eating habits will not get the best of you!
