Paper masks are great for young children! Not only for the holidays but for fun sleep overs or birthday partys! These masks do not take much and anybody can make them. They are very simple and do not take that much time to do so!

Things you will need:

Paper plates

Scissors

Pencil or marker

Stapler

Tape

decorating materials

Step 1:

Pass out 3 very sturdy paper plates per child. You can make them a half mask or a normal full mask. What ever you do, remember to always be creative!!!

Step 2:

Hold the paper plate up to your face, put your two index fingers outside of the plate where your eyes would go. You can also make extra eyes to go on other parts of your face to have a scary mask! Have a parent mark the spots with a pencil. Take the paper off your face and make a pin prick where the marks are. Check to make sure your can see out of the holes that you made and if you cannot ajust the holes to where you can see good out of them. Once you can see out of them let a parent cut out the holes. You can make them as big or small as you like! Remember to be creative!!!

Step 3:

Draw your mask person's features on the plate. Staple the other plates on. You can staple little bowls for ears, and a nose. Remember to make a space for your own nose to fit through the holes.

Step 4:

Now you can color and decorate your mask by stapling, gluing, taping, sewing, or attaching things like yarn, fabric, fur, buttons, glitter, or anything else that you can be creative and fix up!

Step 5:

Now use a hole punch to staple a hole into each side of your mask make sure that the holes are at least an inch from the edge. Put string throug the holes and tie a knot. Be sure to measure before you cut so that it ill fit around your head right.
