How to Help your Child Make their own Christmas Cards

 Children can use their imagination and create their own Christmas cards. Give a child some crayons and their minds will take off in all different directions. Some of your favorite cards will be from a child. They express what they are thinking and feeling. Children have beautiful thoughts of Christmas and it’s their favorite time of the year.

Grandmothers love to get homemade Christmas from their grandchildren.  It will put a big smile on their face.

Here are just a few things you will need to do this project. There are also many more.

Crayons
Markers
Watercolors
Pieces of Cardstock
Children’s Imagination
Glue
A blank card
Foam
Stickers
Construction Paper

1. Give your child a sheet construction paper and tell them to draw their favorite Christmas picture. They may want to draw several once they get started.

2. Tell them to color or paint a drawing and use their imagination on what to glue on the paper. All children love to play with stickers and watercolors. Get the washable markers so they won’t make too big a mess. Just let them enjoy their project.

3. Take some pictures of them to put on their cards if this is what they want to do. It’s a great decoration to go on any card.

 4. Help them glue on their drawing onto their card.

5. Make sure they put their names on each card and put the date it was made also. Everyone can look back on these dates with precious memories.
