How to Make Earrings from Guitar Picks

Music is a great way to express yourself and now you can show the world how much you love music by making earrings from guitar picks! The great thing is that there are a variety of colors available and if you lucky you may even be able to get a couple from your favorite band. Maybe even an autographed pair!

Things you will need:

2 guitar picks

2 o-rings

2 fish hook earring hooks

pliers

needle

something to heat the needle with

Step 1:

The first thing you will need to do it determine the direction you would like your guitar picks to hang. You will want to make sure any special images on the guitar picks are not damaged while creating your earrings and will also be facing the correct direction when you are done.

Step 2

Once you have determined the location you would like to hang mark each guitar pick at that location.

Step 3

Now with hold you pin in the pliers and heat it over an open flame until it is glowing red. With your other hand you will need to hold your guitar pick and be ready to press your hot needle through the mark you have previously made on your guitar pick.

Step 4

 Repeat step 3 on the second guitar pick.

Step 5

Now you will need to open the O-rings to insert your guitar pick and earring hook. The easiest way to press the two ends to the side away from each other instead of straight back.

Step 6

Now you will need to insert one guitar pick and one fish hook earring hook onto the O-Ring. Now twist the O-ring back to its original shape.

Step 7

Repeat step 6 on the second guitar pick and your done!
