1. The first step to living a longer life is to watch what you are eating. That means putting down the donut and picking up the orange. A diet without lots of sugar, white flour and overprocessed food is a perfect start. Try adding more fruits and green leafy vegetables to your daily diet. Buy a juicer and use it to help get your required daily amount. 2. Exercise! Exercise! Exercise! You don't have to kill yourself in the process but try to devote at least thirty minutes a day to your daily regime. Try finding an activity you and your family can enjoy together such as bicycling, swimming, walking, dancing. Pick anything that will get you motivated and off the couch. 3. Try to destress by taking a hot shower or soak in the bath tub with some soothing music. Stress is the number one contribution to a short life span, so do whatever it takes and take time out for yourself. You are the most important person in the world, and you are the only one who can take care of yourself. Tips and Warnings: Always seek the advice from your family physician before starting any new diet or exercise program especially if on any medication. Remember to take one day at a time and enjoy life.
