 Info:

One way to get rid of flies is to make a fly trap. There are plenty of fly traps on the market but why pay money for something that takes very little effort to make yourself? Below are the instructions to make a fly trap.

Things you will need:

Sugar

water

pancake syrup

packing tape

wire cooling rack

newspaper

hole punch

yarn

Step 1:

In a pan mix together water, sugar and syrup.

Step 2:

Heat the mixture to a boil stirring constantly.

Step 3:

Continue heating until the mixture thickens.

Step 4:

Let mixture stand until cooled enough to handle without burning yourself.

Step 5:

While the mixture is cooling cut several strips of packing tape into desired lengths. Take into consideration where you would like them to hang so you don't make them too long.

Step 6:

Dip the strips into the mixture making sure they are coated completely.

Step 7:

Place the coated strips on a wire rack to cool. The rack should be placed on top of newspaper to catch the excess.

Step 8:

Once the strips have dried use a hole punch to cut a hole in one end of the strips.

Step 9:

Tie a piece of yarn through the hole leaving enough to hang the strips in your desired locations.

Step 10:

For best results hang the fly paper in areas that you see a lot of flies. Also make sure you change the fly trap out regularly to keep the mixture fresh and attract more flies.
