The Bead Stopper™ is a coil that you slip onto the end of your stringing material to prevent
beads from sliding off the string as you work. This tutorial will explain how to use a The Bead
Stopper™ when you bead.

Step 1: Select the size Bead Stopper™ that best suits your project. For larger beads, you will want to use the large Bead Stopper™. For seed beads and other small beads, you will want to use the small Bead Stopper™. For multi strand seed bead projects, you will want to use the medium size Bead Stopper™.

Step 2: The Bead Stopper™ is a coil spring with coils bent down to form handles on either end. To open the bead stopper, push down on the handles. The coils of the spring will separate when you push down.

Step 3: Slip the open coils over the end of the stringing material and release the handles. The coil will shut and act as a clamp at the end of your stringing material. Once you have secured the Bead Stopper™, beads will not be able to slide off as you bead. The Bead Stopper™ will also prevent beads from slipping off if you put your work down and somebody picks up the string to look at it or admire it.

Tips & Warnings: The Bead Stopper™ is a particularly useful tool when working on multiple strands. Alligator clips and binder clips can be used in place of a Bead Stopper™ to keep beads from slipping off stringing material; however, these have a tendency to damage stringing materials.
