How to Check Car a Battery

Use a battery tester to check the voltage of your car battery. The reading of your battery should be between 13.5 and 14, if it is still good.

Anything below this is just way to low and it is probably something wrong with your battery or alternator. 

Check the battery acid level of the resevoirs underneath the caps of your battery. If they are low then fill them till they are full once again.

After you have filled the resevoirs then close the caps over them to insure safety.

Make sure that you clean away any battery corrosive material that is on the battery terminals of a car battery.

You can get a battery terminal kit from an auto parts store.
