how to fix tendonitisTendonitis is a condition that usually occurs from constantly repeating a motion with a finger, leg, arm, shoulder, etc. so much that the tendon becomes inflamed causing sometimes severe pain in that area.

Luckily it is easy to treat and prevent tendonitis using these steps.

First, if your pain is severe, you should consult a physician to see if you have another condition called “carpal tunnel” or whether you may need surgery.

If your pain is moderate, that’s good because you have caught this condition in time and will be able to control it.  You will first need to take a break from whatever activity it is that you are doing.  Give your tendons a chance to rest and recover.

Next, you’ll need to start taking an anti-inflammatory drug to help your inflamed tendons that are causing the tendonitis pain.  Ibuprofen is often prescribed by doctors.

See your physician for a prescription and dosage instructions to take this anti-inflammatory drug.

Finally, once the inflammation has gone down and the pain has gone away, moderate your activity.

If you feel pain coming on again, take a break from the activity.
