I love hanging lights all over the entire outside of my home or apartment and this includes decorating all the bushes, trees and the front yard.

I use net lights for all the bushes. I just drape them on the bushes. I do not pull them tight or make them taught in anyway. I make sure that they cover the entire front of the bush. I don't worry about the back of the bush that is facing the house, since no one will be able to see this area.

I connect all the lights together as well throughout the yard. When I get to the trees, I wrap the lights around the limbs and main trunk. However, I make sure that I do not put too many or weigh the tree down. I also have very light stars that I hang on the tree branches where the leaves are. As well as a reindeer that lights up that I hang in the tree as well.

On the smaller bushes or shrubs, I use strings of lights that I wrap around the top and drape over them. I don't add too many to them if they are very small.

During the day, the house and yard will look a mess with lights and cords. However, at night you won't be able to see any of that and it will look amazing.
