In today’s world the uncertainty of having a roof over your head, food in your belly, and the security of having a good paying job are not for certain any more. The job market is becoming more uncertain with the employment rate on the rise and government spending at its highest. Our president’s plan of bailing out big corporation’s with stimulus money or the gold mine and the working man and woman get the empty shaft. So if you lose your job don’t look to the government to bail you out.

Step 1: Try to be cool, calm, graceful, and collective but make this meeting quick and polite

Step 2: If you are asked to sign a termination letter make sure that the reason for termination is typed on this letter and witnessed by someone else. Make sure you take time to read any termination paper and have three signatures yours, your bosses, and the witness signature. Also ask about a two week severance pay although it’s not required. Try conducting this meeting as a professional and ask for a recommendation to take to your new employer.

Step 3: Now that you are at home you can kick, scream, yell, throw stuff and just have a temper tantrum to let off all that stress, pressure and steam.

Step 4: Now that you are officially terminated visit you local unemployment office and apply for unemployment benefits and pay.

Step 5: Make up yourself a portfolio with all your certificates, diplomas, awards, achievements, skills and accomplishments. You may want to include your biography that tells your next employer what you are made of and your goals expectations in life.

Step 6: Now it’s time to put this train back on the track by looking for jobs in your local paper, the internet, local state employment office, and hit the streets to submit your resume to potential employers.

Step 7: look for creative ways to make extra money like I do. Work at home online in your spare time for websites that really pay. These websites include
