Caramel Apple Cheesecake Pie

A great recipe for all who like fruit, sweets and enjoy a good cheesecake. When you do not have a lot of time on your hands and want a very filling and delicious dessert this is right up your alley.

1 frozen pie crust 2 blocks (8 ounce each) of cream cheese 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/3 jar of caramel ice cream topping 2 eggs 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 can of apple pie filling

Instructions:

Step 1:

Start off by preparing the frozen pie crust. Remember to always poke hole with a fork into the bottom of the crust prior to baking. Then preheat oven to 350'.

Step 2:

In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the sugar, vanilla and cream cheese together. Blend until it is as smooth as possible. The mixture may have some lumps in it. This is okay.

Step 3:

Add the eggs one at a time and mix until they are completely blended into the cheese mixture.

Step 4:

Then with a wooden spoon fold in about 3/4 of the can of apple pie filling into the mixture. Be sure not to crush the apple slices.

Step 5:

Bake for about 35 minutes until cake center is no longer loose. Set aside on a baking rack or pot holder to cool. Once pie is cooled completely at room temperature refrigerate for about three hours.

Step 6:

In a small sauce pan take the caramel ice cream topping and the rest of the apple pie filling mixture and warm just slightly. Do not microwave. Once it is warm pour over pie and place back into refrigerator. Make sure you place a tray or large dish underneath before putting in the refrigerator for the warm syrup and juices will spill over some.
