How to Become a Firemedic with the City of Mobile

The first step in becoming a city of mobile FIREMEDIC is to be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. You must have graduated for high school or have a GED and have no crime record. You also need to be a certified firefighter with CPAT certification and paramedic certification. If you don’t have these basic requirements you need to wait till you do.
If you meet all of the first requirements the next thing you will need to do is find out if the city of mobile is hiring. You find out if the city of mobile is hiring by go to cityofmobile.org.

Step 2 FIREMEDICS Best Tool of the trade Type into your browser cityofmobile.org and on the first page you will see city of mobile Alabama and you will see the city e-mail address. Click on that link and then you will see the city web site.

Next you will see working in mobile at the top right corner of the web site now put your pointer on working in mobile and then scroll down to employment resources and click on that and that will take you to the gateway of job opportunities in local government. Next click on job openings and scroll down till you see the words view the open competitive job list ( alaphabetical) you will also see view the open competitive job list ( by category and below it you will see view the promotional job list.

Step 3 This is were the work is doneYou need to click on the view the open competitive job list ( alaphabetical) and then scroll down till you see FIREMEDIC . Next click on FIREMEDIC.
Now you will be able to read the issue date of the announcement and the announcement number.
The announcement number should be 12586.

Step 4- Next you will see the words Jurisdiction on the left side and it should read 02- CITY OF MOBILE. On the right side you will see the words salary and at this point you will make a decision to either apply or not. If you decide to apply or not you can still look at all the requirements that the job requires.

If you want to you can check out all the other jobs the city of mobile has to offer and on that page you will see a e-mail address that you can e-mail the city and underneath the e-mail address there is a phone number that you can call and really talk to a person.
