Info: If you are looking for a natural way to get rid of ants then you have reached the right spot. I have notices this year there are more ants than ever around and I have been working to naturally get rid of the ants in and around my house. This is what I did to naturally get rid of ants around my house and it seemed to work pretty well. I hope it works just as well for you! Things You'll Need: House cleaning supplies, Food storage containers, Chalk, Laurel Leaves, Corn Meal, Maple Syrup, saucer, cream of wheat Step 1: The first thing you need to do is make sure the ant’s food supply is gone. The ants are in your house looking for something to eat and if they have nothing to eat they will go somewhere else to find food. Ants give off a chemical trail letting the other ants know where they are and that they have found food. If the trail is gone the new ants will stop showing up. You should be relentless about this for at least 5-7 days for this to be successful. Step 2: Ants will not cross a chalk line so they work well as barriers. It’s the powdery substance that detracts them. Make sure you use care when making a chalk line some times this can damage your paint. Step 3: Laurel leaves give off a smell that naturally detract the ants so they are good to place around foods such as sugar or cookie jars to naturally get rid of ants. Using these you dont have to worry about chemicals getting onto your foods making them dangerous to eat. Step 4: Corn meal is a great way to rid your home of ants. The ants will walk through it and carry the corn meal back to their homes. There they will try to eat it. Ants are not able to digest the corn meal properly and it will cause them to die. This works great because they bring it home for everyone to share. You should put this everywhere you see ants gathering. It’s also not poisonous to animals or children but can become a mess to clean up. Step 5: Maple syrup in a small saucer will attract the ants and they will become stuck. This will not harm anyone in the house and is very easy to set up and clean up when you are done. It only takes a small amount of syrup for this to work. Step 6: A small saucer of cream of Wheat works well also. When the ants eat the uncooked food it expands inside them and causes them to explode. You can just put this in areas that you see the ants and they will do the rest.
