How to Make The Best Smashed Potatoes

Do you love smashed potatoes? Here is the best smashed potatoes recipe. If you enjoy potatoes, bacon, cheddar cheese, and garlic, this is the recipe for you.

In a crock-pot, add 3 pounds of halved or quartered golden Yukon potatoes, 4 minced cloves of garlic, ½ cup of water, and 2 tablespoons of oil. I usually buy the jars of garlic that are already minced to save time.

Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. Do not open the lid till it is time or the heat you have generated will be lost. Once potatoes are soft, add 1 teaspoon of salt and ½ cup of milk.

Smash the ingredients together and add 6 pieces of crumbled crispy bacon and ½ pound of cheddar cheese and mix together. You can put this on low and keep warm for about 2 hours. For creamier smashed potatoes, add a half block of cream cheese.
