Hepatitis is an inflammatory disease that affects the liver and destroys liver tissue. There are several types of hepatitis and some of the symptoms can be like you have the flu. Hepatitis can cause loss of appetite, feeling of discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and fever just to mention a few of the symptoms. Some types of hepatitis can be life threatening and cause liver failure and death.

Step 1- Hepatitis A is the most common type of this disease it usually enters the mouth and grows in the intestines it is usually passed in stools. You can contract this disease eating contaminated food and fecal contact. You can also ingest this disease by eating clams or other shell fish that may come from contaminated water.

Step 2- Hepatitis B is spread by direct contact either by blood like a transfusion or by contaminated needles shared by drug abusers or by direct sexual contact.

Step 3- Non-A, Non B from what I know it is usually transferred by blood transfusions or by organ transplants and possibly sexual transmission.

Step 4- Hepatitis C is usually transferred by sharing contaminated needles, blood contact, or organ transplants.

Step 5- Hepatitis starts out acute or short term and sometimes turns into chronic that is long term and may eventually lead to death.
