In today’s world babies are born with congenital heart defect. This heart defect that used to be fatal in infants but with today’s medical knowledge these little offspring’s can in most cases grow up to be productive adults.

Step 1-A man or woman, child, infant or baby any of these individuals can have severe problems but can appear to be in minor or no distress. Even though these individuals may be in minor or no distress their condition must be taken seriously.

Step 2-Individuals with congenital heart defect may have some other condition that is associated like Down Syndrome. The CHD individuals may have pale skin or Marked with spots or blotches of different color.

Step 3-In a case where an individual has a fainting spell or loss of consciousness this is to be taken very seriously because that individual could die.

Step 4-Signs of congenital heart defect are peripheral edema individuals may have symptoms of pulmonary hypertension such as chest pain, palpitations, and dyspnea.

If you suspect an individual to have CHD you need to ask about current or recent antibiotic therapy. Individuals that are receiving this type therapy may have muscle, vessel, or valve related problems.
