Power surges are extremely high spikes in electrical power that enters your home and then burn up electrical circuits inside appliances and electronic equipment.

Some power surges enter your home through power lines and lighting strikes and some other power surges come within your home from power generated by equipment of appliances that have motors turning off and on.

Power surges that enter into your home can cause your computer to lock up or washing machine to shut down and anything else that is plugged into an outlet. A power surge that enters your home can also shorten the lifespan of anything that is plugged into an outlet.

The power surge that comes into your home from high spikes and lighting strikes will do the most damage to any electrical circuit that is wired in and through your home these kinds of surges can blow a fuse or short out a major appliance and burn all its circuit boards.

Lighting strikes are the worse kind of power surge that can enter your home they can blow out every outlet and cause shorts in wiring so severe that cause wires to spark and ignites insulation and other flammable material and possibly burn your home down.
