Taking pictures is a hobby that many people enjoy. I know that i do enjoy catching an amazing shot; and absolutely hate it, when i miss one.
Taking pictures, or photography, is an easy hobby to start. All you need is a camera, digital camera, time, and some fantastic places to take pictures at. I use a digital camera, but i find that if i am not paying particular attention, that i sometimes overload my computer. Use an external drive for that purpose, making more space on your computer. Downloading over a hundred pictures to any computer, can soon take up a lot of extra space.
When you take pictures, take them from different angles to get the best possible views.
Always, watch where you are stepping. Pay close attention to the ground around you, since when taking pictures, sometimes you get so involved, that you may actually forget to look down or around you. There are things to be aware of, such as:
Holes that leave you open for a fall, both small and large, can leave you with a sprained ankle
Ant beds, Snakes, Scorpions, and other unseen things
People that are watching you.
Being a photographer is not always an easy job, nor an easy hobby, but it sure is a fun one. Pay attention to what is around you from the start, and then look up occasionally to check often, for any changes.
Pay attention to expressions on peoples faces. If you pick up a displeased look, then you know to move on.
Do not take pictures of people, and expect to use those pictures, without their written consent.
You can take pictures of basically anything, if you just pay attention, and take the time to look at an object from different angles.
Your pictures, can be used in poems, recipes, articles, as a product on your website, and a host of other different things.
Experiment, to find out what works best for you.
