There are a million mixed drink recipes out there but this one takes me to Paradise. Its real relaxing and calming. If you pick a sweeter Red wine you wont have to add the sugar. This recipe makes seven six ounce drinks.

Things You'll Need:

24 oz. Red wine

6 oz. cranberry juice

12 oz. orange juice

2 TBsp. superfine sugar

1 oz. brandy

club soda

blackberries-for garnish

orange slices-thin for garnish

Mix the wine, cranberry juice, orange juice, sugar and brandy together in a large pitcher. This part can be done up to a day ahead and kept in the refrigerator to make sure your drinks are ice cold. Be sure to chill the club soda, and fruit for garnish. I like to wash, dry and then chill my blackberries so they are ready to add to the drinks. If you slice and then chill the orange you can cut back on how much of the 'party' you miss making drinks. Cover orange slices with plastic wrap so they don't dry out.

At the time of service set glasses out on the counter. Add about three ice cubes per glass. Divide the wine mixture between the glasses leaving enough room in the glass to add about a ounce of club soda to each.

Garnish each glass by putting a few blackberries (one if they are big) on top of an orange slice and then floating the orange slice on top of the ice cubes.

Enjoy!
