INTRODUCTION
How to prepare this fantastic cranberry sauce recipe; When it comes to food and cooking, my Grandmother knew what was best. For Thanksgiving, she would make homemade cranberry sauce instead of buying that canned jelly stuff. She had the best recipes for just about everything.
During one Thanksgiving that I recall, she let me help her in the kitchen where she taught me how to make cranberry sauce the quick and easy way. This easy recipe will make 1 quart of cranberry sauce from 4 cups fresh cranberries. This recipe will make 1 quart of cranberry sauce from 4 cups of fresh cranberries.
INGREDIENTS
4 cups fresh cranberries 2 cups water 2 cups sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Boil 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water together. Stir the mixture occasionally. The average cooking time is five minutes.
Step 2 - Add 4 cups of fresh cranberries, and then boil the mixture without stirring until all of the cranberry skins pop open. The average cooking time is five minutes.
Step 3 - Remove from heat and allow the sauce to stay in the saucepan until cool. Your homemade cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
