How to Mix a Batch of Chili Sauce

INTRODUCTION

The steps below describe how to make a batch of chili sauce the traditional way. Delicious, tangy chile sauce. Homemade chile sauce tastes fresher and has much more flavor than the store bought kind. Try this recipe, and you'll have enough chili sauce to last for months.

INGREDIENTS

1 pk tomatoes
4 red peppers
1 large Spanish onion
6 hot peppers
2 c vinegar
2 c sugar
1/4 c salt
1 Tbsp dry mustard
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 pk tomatoes
1 tsp ginger

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Wash tomatoes, skin and cut in quarters.

Step 2 - Place in large metal pot.

Step 3 - Dice onion and peppers.

Step 4 - Add onion, peppers and rest of ingredients to tomatoes.

Step 5 - Cook to desired thickness and pour into clean, hot pint jars and seal.
