Celebrating the Fourth of July, can be a lot more meaningful this year, by planning an Uncle Sam party. This tutorial article will explain how to host a patriotic party for the Fourth.

Invitations; Send out Uncle Sam invitations that say, "I want You." Then on the back, write down the particulars. Include times, dress, and whatever is required for each invitee.

Decorations; You could have red, white, and blue balloons, streamers, cups, plates, and table clothes. You can decorate your gates, fence, and tables. You can ask people to bring their favorite July Fourth decoration as a centerpiece for your tables. You can also go with candles of the same color. Small American flags look great as centerpieces, too.

Music; Besides Country and Pop music, have patriotic songs. Songs by George M Cohan like Yankee Doodle Dandy, Grand Old Flag, and Over There would be excellent. You can even go more popular with American Soldier.

Games; Pin the feather on Uncle Sam. This works the same as Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Have a dress up like Uncle Sam relay. You need a hat, blue shirt, white beard, red bow tie, and white and blue socks. Have teams select a person to dress up as Uncle Sam. First team done wins.

Food; Have food that is patriotic. Anything Apple would work. Anything with patriotic colors is good, too. for example Blueberries and Strawberries with white whipped cream. For meats, tradition works best. Fried Chicken, Ribs, and Burgers are always great for the Fourth of July.

Extras; Have a copy of the Declaration of Independence, and read it out loud. Don't forget to read the signatures. Have a picture of George Washington. If you go into the evening, have some low key fireworks like sparklers.

This is our nations birthday. Try to treat it as thus. Any patriotic idea that you think of, will ake the holiday more meaningful.
