How to Hand Roll a Cigarette

Step 1

The first step in rolling your cigarette is to take a moderate pinch of tobacco and align it in a line shape the length of the rolling paper.

  • Step 2

    Next, proceed to take the tobacco you have in a line and place it in the middle of your rolling paper.

  • Step 3

    Now, meet the two top ends of the rolling paper together in your hands and lightly manipulate the tobacco inside to tightly pack it. This step takes practice but helps to contain the tobacco and make rolling easier.

  • Step 4

    After manipulating the tobacco into a cylindrical shape almost, begin forcing the bottom (closest to you) end of the paper behind the tobacco so that it stays and begins to become rolled.

  • Step 5

    Roll the cigarette as tightly as possible while still allowing room for air to pass through.

  • Step 6

    Lick the gummed edge which should be facing you when the cigarette is almost finished.

  • Step 7

    Now stick the gummed edge to the rest of your cigarette and smooth out any imperfections.

  • Step 8

    Light and enjoy your rolled cigarette.

    This would be great for smokers. My brother is doing this now that cigarettes are higher. Good article and pictures.
