How to Eat Garlic When You HATE The Stuff |

Tags: You know that people who eat garlic often have lower rates of heart disease and some forms of cancer but what do you do if you absolutely hate the taste of garlic? Well, the answer couldn't be simpler. Here's a step-by-step guide to eating garlic even when you hate the taste of it. STEP 1: Assemble what you need. You'll need a cutting board, a small bowl, a spoon and a sharp knife or garlic press. You'll also need a clove of garlic and about a tablespoon or so of either honey or maple syrup. STEP 2: Peel and either crush or chop your garlic clove. Remember, the chemical that makes garlic so healthful isn't actually in the garlic; it's actually formed when crushed garlic comes into contact with oxygen. You MUST either chop the garlic or run it through a garlic press to get the maximum potential health benefits. STEP 3: Put your honey or maple syrup into your small bowl and add the crushed or chopped garlic. Mix well, load the concoction onto your spoon and keep reminding yourself that garlic is good for you. And that's it. The honey or the syrup will cut the "burn" of the garlic and make it easier to swallow. And because you're avoiding "chewing" the garlic, you may find it less likely to cause bad breath. TIP: If a tablespoon of honey is too much for you, try cutting that amount in half. The honey is really only there to coat the garlic and cut the burn. The amount you use should depend on your own personal tastes. WARNING: This How-To was meant to be a fun look at the potential health benefits of garlic. It was not intended as medical advice.
