Belly fat is now being linked to a large amount of serious health problems such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and stroke. Some modifications to your lifestyle can help in reducing your overall belly fat resulting in improved health.

Step 1: Eliminate the following types of foods which lead to belly fat:

  • *white breads, bagels, doughnuts, cookies
  • *most anything with the main ingredient white flour
  • *foods with high amounts of saturated fat
  • *beer

Step 2: Eat more whole grain foods, vegetables, and fruit. Eat a diet with additional smaller meals instead of three large meals.

Step 3: Exercise moderately for 20 minutes 5 times per week. The exercise should be cardio-based including swimming, walking, jogging, treadmill, etc.

Step 4: Perform core exercises twice per week after your moderate exercise. Always do core work after your body is warmed up to avoid injury. Core exercises include sit-ups, bi-cycles, trunk twisting exercises, etc. There are some great exercise videos and programs out there such as PX-90.
