How to Use @Replies on Twitter |

Intro: Using Twitter is fairly easy but using @replies is more complicated. Correct use of @replies can help with your Twitter marketing and Twitter followers. Follow these steps to use @replies on Twitter.  Step 1: When posting a message or “tweet,” you can start it with “@apersonsusername” and then type your message. Doing this shows that you are addressing that person.  For example, “@paulmclalin I agree that you should buy a TV” is a tweet which is addressing Paul Mclalin.  Step 2: If you want to direct message or “whisper” something to a user, instead of addressing them, you should start your message with “d paulmclalin”  Step 3: If a Twitter user @replies you, you will see it in your timeline only if you are following that user. If you are not following that person, you can see your @replies in your replies tab.  Step 4: You can change your @replies settings on Twitter by logging into your account, clicking on “settings” and then “notices.”  Tips: If the Twitter user is not following you, they will probably not see your @replies towards them.  You can use @replies in the middle or at the end of your tweet but the user you are addressing most like will never see it.  Warnings: If you change the settings to “all @ replies,” you will start to see all the @replies whether they are directed at you or not.
