How to Make Green Beer

Intro: A popular tradition on St. Patrick's Day is not just drinking beer, but drinking green beer! Follow these steps to make your very own green beer.

Step 1: You will need to buy some beer. The best beer is light beer since you will get the best color. Some popular light beers are Bud Light and Miller Lite.

Step 2: If you choose a dark beer, the color just won't come through. Although Guiness is an extremely popular St. Patricks Day beer, it is so dark that you won't notice a color change.

Step 3: Once you buy your beer, you will need to get some food coloring. Some people recommend that you should get blue food coloring since it will mix with the yellow beer to create a green color. From my experience, this is not true. Green food coloring is very powerful and will make your beer turn a very vibrant green color.

Step 4: To make green beer, you should pour your beer into a glass first. Once poured into a glass, you should slowly add one drop of food coloring. If one drop doesn't turn the beer green enough, try another drop.

Step 5: For one 12 ounce beer, you should only need a drop or two of food coloring. Once your beer is green enough for your liking, drink it down!

Tips: You can get food coloring at any grocery store.

Warnings: Be careful when handling the food coloring, it will stain your clothes and skin.

Never drink and drive!
