How to Relieve Sunburn

Intro: Sunburn can be painful and irritating but it can happen to the best of us. Follow these steps to try soothing and relieving your sunburn.

Step 1: Brew several bags of plain black tea or chamomile, and steep for 10 minutes or more. Let cool or add some ice cubes to make tea cool.

Step 2: Dip an old towel (can stain) or bath sponge in the tea, place the wet towel on the sunburn area and let in soak in for 30 to 60 minutes at a time.

Step 3: Rub with vitamin E oil after, to help the skin heal.

Step 4: Soak a washcloth in equal parts of milk and water to make a cool compress.

Step 5: Add oatmeal or baking soda to a cool water bath.

Step 6: Use a lotion or powder to smooth areas where skin rubs against skin.

Step 7: Use calamine lotion for itching.

Step 8: Cut a raw potato and spread the juice on the burned skin.

Step 9: Use Aloe to cool the burn.

Tips: Wear sunscreen even when it’s cloudy outside.

Warning: Avoid breaking open any blisters, and watch for any signs of a skin infection while using home treatment measures.
