Intro: International flights are among the most expensive flights you will ever have to pay for. Follow these steps to find cheap international flights.
Step 1: To find cheap international flights, you must be flexible in your departure and arrival times and dates. Plan to take up to 2 weeks off of work, so you can be more flexible when trying to catch an international flight.
Step 2: You must book your flight when the airline is starting to get worried some seats may not be filled. The best time to try and book a flight is 4-6 weeks before the flight is set to depart. If you try earlier than 6 weeks, the airlines are not desperate to book the extra seats yet. If you wait until under 4 weeks, then the airlines think you are desperate to get on the flight.
Step 3: To find cheap international flights, you should check out flights to London, if you plan on going to Europe. Flying to London is often the cheapest flight to Europe. Flying from London to other parts of Europe is usually pretty inexpensive.
Step 4: Look for flights which leave in the middle of the week. Flights departing on a Wednesday or Tuesday are often much cheaper.
Step 5: Do your research. Check every option including travel websites and airline websites. Visit Orbitz.com, Travelocity.com, Expedia.com, Priceline.com, AirTech.com, and HotWire.com
