How to Save Money on Hotel Bills

Intro: When traveling, the most expensive things are typically the flight and hotel bills. Follow these steps to save money on hotel bills.

Step 1: To save money on hotel bills, you should ask for the hotels corporate rate when making a reservation. Corporate rates are often much cheaper than the normal room prices and most hotels have these corporate specials.

Step 2: Many hotels require that you stay at least 8 nights per year to qualify for the corporate rate. To get around this, you can write the hotel a letter using your company’s letterhead. Most hotels will give the corporate rate to anyone who does this.

Step 3: If you are using a travel agent to help you book the room, make sure you get a confirmation number which guarantees your room. A travel agent will give you a voucher but this has no official acknowledgement from the hotel.

Step 4: To save money on hotel bills, shop around for the best pricing available. Speaking with many hotels about their corporate rates is the best way to book a room at a very affordable rate.

Tips: To save money on hotel bills, perform research, ask about the corporate rate, and book the room.

Make sure you have a company letterhead to write a letter on and send to the hotel, if necessary.
