How to Buy Used Cars

Intro: When purchasing a used car, it may be tough to find the exact year, model, and mileage that you want but it is not impossible. Follow these steps to buy used cars.

Step 1: The best place to find the perfect used car is on the internet. The biggest websites where you can search used cars are autotrader.com, cars.com, and usedcars.com.

Step 2: To buy used cars, visit these websites and type in the make, model, year, and etc. of the car you want and click search. These sites will generate a list of potential matches near your area.

Step 3: Sift through the search results to find a few cars which you think are a potential option. Once you narrow your search down to a few cars, get a free vehicle history report on each of those cars.

Step 4: Once you think the car is a potential winner, call the dealership or seller to make sure the car is still available and set up a time to come in and check out the car.

Step 5: To buy used cars, test drive each car you are interested in and see if you like any of them. Drive it to your mechanic so he can take a look at it.

Step 6: Before buying, always ask if the car still has warranty left on it and find out if it has had any issues.

Steep 7: Negotiate a final price and buy the car!

Tips: To buy used cars, you should always use the internet to narrow your search down.

You can view hundreds of cars at websites such as autotrader.com, cars.com, and usedcars.com.

There is always room to negotiate.

Warnings: Used cars typically always have a few little issues; this is not to be unexpected.

Always use Carfax. They keep a running up date on many vehicles.
