How to Make Coconut Cream Pie |

Intro: This pie is pretty quick and easy to make. Follow these steps to make a coconut cream pie.
Step 1: Gather the ingredients. You will need 3 tablespoons butter, 4 eggs, 3 cups milk, 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1 cup white sugar, ½ cup all purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon salt, 1 cup flaked coconut, and a baked pie shell.
Step 2: Add the flour, salt, and sugar to a saucepan and cook on medium heat. Start to slowly stir in the milk and then continuing cooking until the mixture becomes thick. Once thick, put the heat on low and cook for 2 more minutes. After 2 minutes of cooking, remove from heat.
Step 3: Beat 4 egg yolks and add about 1 cup of the hot mixture from step 2 to the eggs. Now pour the egg mixture into the saucepan and bring the ingredients to a boil for 2 minutes. After two minutes, remove from heat.
Step 4: Add the coconut, vanilla, and butter to the hot mixture and mix well. Pour the coconut cream pie filling into the baked pie crust.
Step 5: Cover your cream pie with saran wrap and store in the fridge. Once ready to serve, remove it from the fridge and enjoy!
Tips: Top the coconut cream pie with a little coconut flakes.
Warnings: Let the pie cool for a bit before slicing into. The coconut cream pie filling will be hot and not very solid.
