How to Make Raisin Pie

Intro: This pie is not only unique but very delicious. Follow these steps to make raisin pie.

Step 1: Gather the ingredients. For your pie, you will need ½ cup of water, 7 tablespoons white sugar, a dash of salt, 1 tablespoon butter, 2 cups raisins, a double pie crust, ½ cup milk, and 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour.

Step 2: Add raisins and water to a saucepan. Turn the stove to low heat and simmer until the raisins become tender and plump.

Step 3: Add the sugar and flour to another saucepan and mix well. Slowly whisk in the butter, salt, and milk. Cook this mixture on medium heat while stirring continually. Continue cooking until it becomes thick.

Step 4: Once thickened, add the raisin/water mixture to the milk mixture. Pour this mixture into your bottom pie crust. Cover the bottom pie crust with strips of another pie crust. You should create a lattice like design on top of the raisin pie.

Step 5: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake your pie for 40 minutes or until the crust turns golden brown.

Step 6: Let the pie cool, serve, and enjoy!

Tips: Make sure the oven is adequately preheated.

Serve your raisin pie with some whipped cream.

Warnings: The pie will be very hot when removing it from the oven. Be careful!
